Where ever it is rocky - Ilfracombe, Hele Bay, Combe Martin, Morte Point, Woody Bay, Heddon's Mouth & Lynmouth

Baits:

Star bait is fresh Mackerel. Congor will however take almost any bait. Squid, Herring, sand eels and peeler crab

Best Time to catch:

Fish at night for best results. Will give strong fight in surf during Autumn

Top tip:

Conger eel can be caught where ever there are rocks and during the autumn you can also catch them on the beaches as the fatten themselves up for winter. Use heavy line ie 20 - 30lb and fish close to the rocks. Be prepared for a strong fight if you catch a
