It is vital that you keep an eye on the tide times when fishing in North Devon because the tidal flow is fast and the tide difference from low tide to high tide can range from 5 meters to 10 meters within a few hours. Great care should be taken especially when fishing from the rocks as it is easy to be cut of by an incoming tide and you wouldn't want the embarrassment of having to call out the lifeguard to rescue you if you find yourself stranded on a high tide!
